Felicity Pitchers was voted by fellow club members as our Athlete of the year.  Mum of 4 - yes 4! - young children and full time worker, Felicity impressed so many club members with her dedication, determination and all round enthusiasm for triathlon that she was voted Shires Triers Athlete of the Year.

While juggling her job and childcare duties, Felicity showed tremendous dedication to training, completing numerous events including the Paris marathon, Challenge Wales 70.3 and not one but two Ironman distance triathlons! Having joined the club just three years ago with her first sprint distance triathlon in 2021, she's certainly come a long way. Congratulations Felicity, we can't wait to see what she has planned for the season ahead.

Here's some of what our club members wrote about her.

'She has carried on training and achieved Ironman distance tri events while looking after eleventy billion children and working part time too! With some pretty impressive race results to boot'

'...for her consistent training and racing, usually with great results, but most of all for doing the Ironmand that had the swim cancelled last minute and then had the mental strength to immediately enter another one so she could complete a full Ironman with the swim.'

'A never ending energy'

Well done Felicity!
